In December 2022, I volunteered to run an origami session at the Interlake High School Art Club. We folded many origami flowers and attached them to a frame to make a wreath. It was a lot of fun working together and helping each other learn how to fold!
In February of 2022, I received the opportunity to teach origami at my school’s Art for Action club. I conducted two sessions, and seven students participated. We created various origami models and glued them to greeting cards as embellishments, which were then donated to Seattle Children’s Hospital. This was a really fun opportunity and I got to make origami with others as a group. We all had lots of fun figuring out how to fold the models from the diagrams, and stretching ourselves with the more complex designs!
This is my first ever YouTube video! It has instructions on how to fold the Dimpled Model With Flowers, designed by Ms. Meenakshi Mukerji. I am very grateful to her for giving me permission to create this video.
This is my second YouTube video, which teaches how to fold the Daisy Dodecahedron 1, also designed by Ms. Meenakshi Mukerji. I’m really happy with my improvement from the first video, and I’m super grateful to Ms. Meenakshi Mukerji for this opportunity!
In 2019, I got the wonderful opportunity to teach origami at Jubilee Reach, which was made possible through Art You. The session was filled with fun and creativity as students followed along and each made their own colorful crowns. The experience was very exciting, and I enjoyed sharing my origami knowledge with others!
