Exquisite Modular Origami III – Acknowledgements and Photo Credits

One amazing opportunity I got recently in the origami field was to collaborate with author Meenakshi Mukerji on her latest book Exquisite Modular Origami 3. I helped her with model testing, diagram testing, and photography, both for the book and for advertising it on social media. As a result, I got acknowledgments in her book! Above is a picture of the acknowledgements page where she mentions my contributions, and lists me in the photo credits. 

Folding Opportunities from Ms. Meenakshi Mukerji

When an origami artist creates modular pieces with lots of units, it’s really time-consuming to fold all of them just to see what the finished model will look like. That’s why I recently helped Ms. Meenakshi Mukerji by folding and photographing three of her new models to post on social media. The models I folded had never been seen before, being new designs, and so I was extremely honored that she asked me to help her with them. The models were all from the same family of modular pieces, which she was working at the time, and they ended up looking spectacular! I also got quite a bit of photography lessons and tips for improvement, which have been really helpful in creating my blog!

I’ve also tested some diagrams for Ms. Meenakshi Mukerji’s upcoming book, Exquisite Modular Origami 3. For most of the diagrams, I just tested a couple of units. However, I really enjoyed testing one of the models, May Blossoms, so I folded the whole thing! Here are pictures of the May Blossoms model, unbloomed and bloomed.
