Icosahedron

The Icosahedron model, designed by Miyuki Kawamura, was a new type of modular origami for me. It consisted of two different types of pieces (the red one was different than the black one), when normally I’m used to making models that consist of one type of piece throughout. The finished model also looked quite different than my regular modular pieces. It was more geometric, and was built in a way that you could see all the way through it. I also ended up having to use a bit of glue on this model, because the pieces didn’t stay together as well as I would have liked. But after working through the initial problems, the finished model ended up being amazing, and I definitely enjoyed making this new type of modular origami!
